Located in the mesmerizing Dooars, the entry point of Bhutan and spread over 216 sq km, Jaldapara National Park is famous for it’s large variety of flora and fauna. This national park is famous for the Greater one-horned Rhino and the population is the second highest after Kaziranga National Park. Apart from this iconic animal, Asiatic Elephant, Indian Gaur (Bison), Common Leopard, Indian spotted deer, Sambar deer, Barking deer, Wild boar, etc. are other animals of this National Park. The Bengal tiger rarely spotted here. This National Park is also famous for various species of birds. There are some beautiful rivers of this region which can be seen in this National Park. So only the wildlife, the scenic beauty of this National Park also makes it a special place for the tourists visiting this place.

  1. Elephant safari: You can enjoy the exciting Elephant safari and watch the wildlife from a closer view. There is always better chance of animal sighting if you are going for an Elephant safari and this ride itself a great experience. But note that this safari is for the tourists who staying in the Hollong Cottage and Barodabari Malangi Lodge.
  2. Car safari: The another option is to go for a car safari and watch them from a watchtower. The Hollong watchtower is famous for Greater one horned Rhino sighting.
  • This jungle safari stays close during rainy season (from jun 16- Sep 15) every year.
